Social Walks
A product of the pandemic, monthly social walks are facilitated by SICAP staff across the
county, strengthening communities, encouraging connection and tackling social isolation for
many.
Community Expo 2025
In collaboration with Offaly Volunteer Centre, this annual event provides a chance for
community organisations to connect with other community organisations and engage with
the wider community.
Supporting Men’s Health Week
Through multi-agency collaboration, 2025 saw the first schedule of events for Men’s Health Week in Offaly, including wellbeing workshops, social walks, a breakfast event for farmers and much more.
Grow It Green
This short programme introduces participants to simple kitchen gardening, encouraging them to take small steps towards local food production while building awareness of sustainable practices.
Diversity and Inclusion at local festivals
Working with OFFLine Film Festival, SICAP in Offaly facilitated the creation of ‘Nothing
About Us Without Us, Diversity and Inclusion Toolkit’.
Social Walk Leader Training
This short training programme equips community members to become social walk leaders in their community, strengthening social connection while encouraging gentle physical activity for people of all ages and abilities.
