Community Response to Storm Éowyn
Following the devastating impact of Storm Éowyn thousands of homes were left without power, heating, and access to essential services. SICAP worked closely with local partners to coordinate emergency supports for vulnerable residents. Emergency response hubs were established, meals and essential supplies were delivered, and support services were provided to those most affected.
Community Car
The Community Car initiative provides transport services for people who do not have access to private transport or are unable to use public transport. The service helps individuals attend medical appointments, training programmes improving accessibility and supporting social inclusion.
Supporting Social Enterprises
Through SICAP support, Ros FM and The Melting Pot strengthened their ability to promote social inclusion and support local communities. SICAP provided guidance, funding supports, and development opportunities that helped both organisations grow, engage volunteers, and create pathways to employment through volunteering and Tús placements. This support enabled the social enterprises to expand their impact, enhance community services, and contribute to a more inclusive society.
