Community, Society, Economy – Summit 2030

Join us for Community, Society, Economy – Summit 2030, a transformative event that brings together leaders from various sectors to explore pathways to stronger communities, inclusive societies, and resilient local economies.

This high-level, cross-sectoral gathering will feature keynote speakers:

  • Minister Dara Calleary, Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Minister for Social Protection,
  • Minister Jerry Buttimer, Minister of State at the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht and at the Department of Transport
  • Dr Anna Visser, Department of An Taoiseach, Child Poverty
  • Piotr Sadłocha, President, ELARD
  • Dr Anne Devlin, Research Officer in the Economic Analysis Division, ESRI
  • MC for the event is Colm O’Regan

Attendees will learn about the current challenges and opportunities within the Local Development sector through expert talks, interactive panels, and community voices, as well as participate in intimate fireside discussions on urgent development topics.

The event will take place on 30-31 October 2025 at the Great National Hotel Ballina, Co. Mayo, with a schedule that includes a conference session on Thursday afternoon, a gala dinner in the evening, and another conference session on Friday morning.
