FRIENDLY CALL (FC) DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT WORKER

Friendly Call Cork is a free service offering a daily phone call to older people or individuals in Cork City and surrounding areas who may feel lonely, isolated, or vulnerable. The service specifically targets people with chronic illness or anyone who cannot engage in the community in an active way. The Friendly Call Cork – Digital Programme aims to enhance digital literacy among older adults by providing internet-connected tablets and ongoing support. We also run the Friendly Call Bus which is available to clients for trips to medical appointments.

  Employment Programmes Manager

The Employment Programmes Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the Local Area Employment Service (LAES) and the Tús Programme. As this is a senior manager role in the Company flexibility is required with regard to taking up duties specific to the general operation of the company from time to time. The LAES is a dedicated employment activation programme working with long term unemployed individuals in Cork City and County. The Tus Programme supports those who are unemployed to gain valuable work experience over a twelve-month period in locations around Cork City with support to the participant being given by the Tus team Leaders.

Community Health Project Officer

We are seeking a motivated and community‑focused Community Health Project Officer to join our team. Working as part of a dynamic staff group, you will help deliver the objectives set out in our Annual Programme of Work. In this role, you will support local residents to improve their health and wellbeing by providing clear information, signposting to appropriate services, and coordinating engaging community‑based activities. You’ll play a key part in empowering people to make positive health choices and access the supports they need.

The Storytelling Officer will play a central role in capturing, communicating, and amplifying the real-world impact of our community development work in Dublin’s inner city.
