LDCs sit on childcare boards and contribute to strategic planning and implementation of early childhood supports.
LDCs work with these bodies on local tourism and enterprise projects, often through the LEADER programme, supporting sustainable development in rural areas.
FRCs are key collaborators in supporting families, hosting outreach programmes, engaging marginalised communities, and delivering local services in partnership with LDCs
LDCs co-host political participation and anti-racism training with INAR, particularly focused on new communities, migrants, and refugees.
LDCs collaborate with LEOs to support entrepreneurship and small business development, particularly among unemployed individuals and those from minority backgrounds.
Together with LSPs, LDCs support access to physical activity programmes, focusing on groups experiencing disadvantage or social isolation.
LDCs offer financial wellbeing workshops and budgeting support to individuals and families through local partnerships with MABS.
Through Peace IV and related initiatives, LDCs contribute to reconciliation, inclusion, and anti-racism work in divided or post-conflict communities.
LDCs engage with PPNs to ensure local community groups have a voice in decision-making and access to supports and training.
LDCs are active members of local interagency groups working to support Traveller inclusion and access to services.
As board members and collaborators, LDCs support youth participation, education, and social development through Youth Work Ireland’s regional and national networks.
