Tender for Research Services
Local Development Companies Network seek to commission research examining the lived impact of poverty on individuals, families, and communities in Ireland, and the role, value, and future potential of Local Development Companies (LDCs) in addressing it. The study will be grounded primarily in frontline qualitative evidence from LDCs’ day‑to‑day engagement with people experiencing poverty, complemented by national data, policy analysis, and existing research, and framed by contemporary theories of multidimensional poverty and social exclusion. Its purpose is to generate a robust, evidence‑based analysis that highlights how poverty manifests locally, where current policy falls short, and what supports are most effective, culminating in clear, actionable policy recommendations and an assessment of the LDC model’s contribution to Ireland’s anti‑poverty framework, now and into the future
